AREI attended the meeting of the Economic Commission and Budget and Finance Commission in the Senate
On February 2nd, 2021, AREI President and the Secretary General participated in the common meeting of the Economic Commission and the Budget and Finance Commission in the Senate, where the draft law approving the Emergency Ordinance nr. 226/2020 postponing the application of the increased 5% VAT threshold for housing has been discussed.
As part of the public debate process, AREI representatives presented the position of the association concerning the impact of the Emergency Ordinance nr. 226/2020, explaining and supporting the AREI arguments on the negative effects of postponing the increased 5% VAT threshold for housing from January 2022, instead of January 2021 as initially established by Law 248/2020.
