On April 22nd, 2021, AREI President and the Secretary General had a meeting with Ms. Oana Silvia Toiu, President of the Labour and Social Protection Commission in the Chamber of Deputies. Other members of Ms. Toiu cabinet were also present at the meeting. The discussion focused on building a constructive dialogue on several industry topics with impact on the economy overall, with a particular emphasis on the negative impact of postponing the application of the increased 5% VAT threshold for housing, a measure included in the Emergency Ordinance nr. 226/2020 that is currently under the examination in the Chamber of Deputies.
