Following several AREI meetings with high level officials on the topic of 5% VAT threshold for housing, today we have submitted to the Ministry of Finance the updated AREI Position Paper on the 5 % VAT. The document provides insights on the current situation, with proposals to improve the applicability of the 5 % VAT for housing and presents the practice of other EU countries towards approaching the VAT threshold levels for housing.
