AREI Position Paper on the draft initiative concerning the exemption of rent payments during the state of emergency

In the context of the draft initiative proposing the exemption of rent payments during the state of emergency, registered recently in the Parliament, AREI developed a Position Paper that includes an impact analysis and a table of comments and proposals aiming to improve the provisions of the draft. The AREI Position Paper, together with the impact analysis and the table of comments have been submitted to both chambers of the Parliament – the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies.

In our analysis we explained that the draft will have a significant impact on the industry and will destabilize the situation of all the real estate market players, with the risk of deepening the crises caused by Covid-19 pandemic.
