AREI Position Paper on the impact of postponing the application of the new 5% VAT threshold for housing
The Association of Real Estate Investors in Romania (AREI) addressed today to the Government and the Ministry of Finance, the AREI Position Paper on the draft Emergency Ordinance on some fiscal and budgetary measures, by which the application of the new 5% VAT threshold is proposed to be postponed for January 2022, instead of the initial term – January 2021.
We emphasize the need to ensure a transparent public debate and effective public consultations with all the stakeholders, as well as predictability in the decision-making process.
